Oscar's 1st loose tooth

Sunday, Oscar noticed he had his first loose tooth. Man is he excited! Apparently it takes weeks sometimes for them to actually fall out? Oh well. It is still exciting! So when my brother & I were loosing OUR teeth we put them in our very own teeth pillows made by my mother. I thought everyone had them, until I said Sunday... "I get to make your tooth pillow now!" And Darren said.... "his what?" I explained & elaborated that this was not an option... but an awesome tradition to pass down. Anyway, now the pillow is made (simple, not frilly) and I've visited the bank for some cool gold-dollar coins we are ready! Here is the proud boy w/ his TOOTH PILLOW!

Nature Walks

Today we took our first LadyBug nature walk. Portland Park & Rec has them weekly & I think we'll be a regular attender. They boys LOVED it. Here they are "investigating" mole holes.

After it was done we did some nature walking of our own which was equally as fun. The boys had a great time poking plants, bugs, etc.

I love this pic. I can visualize me taking them hiking when they are 10, 12 & 14.

Our past life

Darren & I lived in San Diego for about 4 years just after we were married. We remember those as super fun times. Duel income. Cool condo. Good jobs. Sunny weather. Beach every weekend. Great friends. Anyway - while there we aquired a small lemon tree. It was supposed to be a dwarf tree so we planted it in a pot. When we left we gave the tree to some friends who planted it in thier front yard. Last night Darren had dinner w/ them (he's in San Diego on business). Here are some pictures of our little tree. Apparently it produces enough lemons for the entire block! Awesome. And it stirred up some great memories too.

Summer Fun

I'm totally biased but aren't these 3 of the cutest little boys you've ever seen? They are having a blast this summer!

Happy Birthday Grandma!!

Today is my moms birthday. We met her at Magnolia park & had a little birthday party there. It was totally fun. Happy Birthday Mom!!

Holiday at the Beach

My parents have a condo at Cannon Beach... that they happily share. We get to go a few times a year. They invited us down for the holiday weekend. We had a blast.

While there we discovered the pure joy that comes from little boys playing in a skate park w/o skateboards. It was like a ton of super fun slides all next to each other! Even Jack loved it!

Oscar should get the credit for this new find. He was the first brave one to think.... cool this looks like a slide!!
