Happy 40th!!

Darren turns 40 today!!  

Yippee.

Hoorahh!

WOOHOO!

Except for 1 thing. 

He had to fly back to Sacramento to work in the middle of our family vacation & on his birthday.  

BOO.  

So if you see him or have his email.  Send him some love please.

And would you believe last year he was in Sacramento and we were in Portland too?  Yup.  He started work a month before we moved down.  Which spanned his birthday.

Today Darren celebrates his 40th.  I've had the privilege of knowing him for the last 18 years (holy cow we are old)  and being married to him the last 13.  It's been fun.  

There are a lot of birthdays to come and we'll party down.

Love you babe.  Hang in there.  The Parmans (our awesome Sacramento friends) will take care of you tonight and we'll see you Friday!

It's Baseball time!

 It is that time of year again!  

Baseball time!  

This year is Oscar's 3rd and Calvin's 1st!  

Too exciting.  

This is our first year in Sacramento.  I have to say.. this neighborhood knows how to DO baseball.  The Arden Park Little League is amazing.  The park we play in is amazing.  The people are amazing.  And so far.. no rained out practices.  All good stuff.  The downside is the boys fan club is missing Granny, Grandma and Grandpa.  So here are lots of pictures.  

This weekend was opening weekend.  

There was a ceremony and both boys had their first games.

Here are the uniforms. 

Oscar's team is the Washington Nationals.  Calvin's are the Boston Red Sox.  Aren't they cute?

These pictures are of the opening ceremony.  ALL the players from the smallest to the big big kids went out as they called the team names.  That was cool.

So Calvin's game was first.

 Then the next day we went to Oscar's first game.

It was a super fun weekend.  

Jack is 4!!

Today... Jack turns 4.  I can't believe my baby is 4.  

Here are some of my favorite shots over the years.

Jack is our goof-ball.  He can always make us smile.. and he's shown in his 4 short years how much of a survivor he is.

The classic "jack in the box".  He thinks it is hilarious.  

He broke his leg when he was 14 months.  

And of course we all remember when he fell out of our second story window and ended up at OHSU for 5 days.

If that doesn't make you smile.... nothing will.

TaeKwonDo Belt Test

Yesterday was our family's TaeKwonDo belt test.  

Unfortunately our camera ran out of batteries so I didn't get everything.

Oscar and Calvin are the furthest along of the 5 of us.  

They've been taking lessons for almost 3 years.

Jack, Darren and I have only been at this about 6 months.  

Here was part of Oscar and Calvin's belt test.

We all had to break "boards" - even Jack - (which are plastic re-usable boards) Oscar and Calvin had to break 3.

 Today Calvin turns 6.  

SIX.  I can't believe it.  It seems like only yesterday he was so tiny.

We had a bunch of games planned but our tree turned out to be the only "toy" we needed.
